DAGEKI WORLD KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
INFORMATION – INTERNATIONAL COMPETITOR / COACH
Any competitor (or coach) whose country of residency is not Canada is considered an international competitor (or coach).
Registration of International Competitors
- Registration for the Dageki 2024 will be from March 15 to May 8, 2024.
Travel Documents
It is the responsibility of the international competitor (or coach) to obtain information and provide himself with the travel documents required to enter Canada according to his citizenship.
- Visitor Visa to Canada

- Every international competitor (or coach) must himself apply for a Visitor Visa when required by Canada.
- At the express request of a competitor (or coach), the Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee will email him an Invitation Letter to the Dageki 2024 to be presented to the Canada Embassy in the country of residence of the competitor (or coach).
- IMPORTANT: The Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee does not vouch for any visa demand. The invitation letter only confirms that the Dageki World Karate Championship 2024 will be held in Montréal, QC, Canada.
- International competitors (or coaches) who need a visa to enter Canada can contact the Organizing Committee to ask for an Invitation Letter to the Dageki 2024.

- Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

- When required by Canada, the international competitor (or coach) must submit a request for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to Canada or to transit through a Canadian airport.

Health and Hospitalization Insurance Policy
- It is the responsibility of every international competitor to get an Insurance Policy that will cover health care and hospitalization costs that could be incurred following his participation in the Dageki 2024.
- The Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee will not, in any manner, be held responsible for injuries and hospital fees incurred by a competitor during the Championship.
- A proof of the competitor’s Health and Hospitalization Insurance Policy must be transmitted to the Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee no later than May 8, 2024 to ensure his participation in the Championship
Medical Form – Elite Fighting (Knockdown)
- It is the responsibility of all Elite Fighters (Knockdown) fill out and submit the online medical form no later than May 8, 2024 to complete their registration for the Championship and ensure their participation.
Mandatory Pre-competition Weigh-in – Fighting with Protection and Elite Fighting (Knockdown)
- Three opportunities are offered at Centre sportif Pierre-Charbonneau:

- Friday, May 17, from 11h00 to 13h00
- Friday, May 17, from 18h00 to 20h00
- Saturday, May 18, from 8h00 to 10h30
Hotel Reservation
- The Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee has an agreement with two hotels located near the competition site (Centre sportif Pierre-Charbonneau).
- Rooms have been put aside. Those interested must make their reservation directly with this hotel. First arrived, first served!
Transportation from Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau Airport to Hôtel Universel – Montréal
- The Dageki 2024 Organizing Committee will provide transportation for international competitors (and coaches) from Montreal Airport to Hôtel Universel – Montréal.
- Competitors (and coaches) will need to provide the Committee with their flight itinary by email.
